The Member of Parliament for the Asunafo North Constituency, Haruna Ba Mohammed, has provided two motorcycles to the Kasapin Police Station to strengthen security and improve emergency response across the constituency.

For several years, the Kasapin Police Station has been responsible for serving more than 60 communities in the area without a dedicated means of transport. This situation has made it difficult for officers to respond quickly to emergencies and distress calls.

In many cases, police officers have had to rely on taxis, lifts from community members, or even walk long distances to attend to security situations.

Supporting Police to Improve Community Safety

According to Hon. Haruna Ba Mohammed, the situation required urgent attention once it came to his notice. Although the station initially requested support for one motorcycle, the Member of Parliament arranged to provide two motorcycles to enhance the operational capacity of the police.

The motorcycles are expected to help officers respond faster to emergencies, patrol communities more effectively, and strengthen security presence in the area.

Commitment to Improving Security Infrastructure

Hon. Haruna Ba Mohammed emphasized that the support marks only the beginning of efforts to improve security infrastructure in the constituency.

He reaffirmed his commitment to secure vehicles for the station and support the renovation of the police facility, ensuring that officers can work under better conditions while serving the people of Asunafo North.

Strengthening Security for Communities

The MP noted that security plays a vital role in community development and should never be limited by a lack of basic resources.

By providing logistical support to the police, the initiative aims to improve safety, strengthen law enforcement operations, and protect residents across the many communities served by the Kasapin Police Station.
